China Vegetable Seed Co.,Ltd.(Beijing)(hereinafter referred to as "China Vegetable Seed ") was founded in 1988 as a technology enterprise established by the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). It is a national technology transfer and demonstration organization, a national high-tech enterprise, and benchmark for enterprise in vegetable seed industry. It also takes an active part in the associations to carry out its social responsibilities, such as Asia And Pacific Seed Association (APSA), Vegetable Seed Branch of China National Seed Association (CNSA) and China National Seed Trade Association.

As a platform for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements from the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, CAAS, and based on 15 scientific research and innovation breeding groups, China Vegetable Seed has become a leading company with strong capabilities of breeding, reproduction, promotion, and brand influence. It is an important incubator for China’s vegetables and flowers Hi-Tech achievements. With nearly 1,000 network partners across the country, China Vegetable Seed specializes in more than 200 varieties including cabbage, sweet (hot) pepper, tomato, cucumber, Chinese cabbage, spinach, carrot, broccoli, eggplant, melon, beans, lettuce. It sells about 200 tons of vegetable seeds annually, and promotion area is more than 830 thousand acres throughout China and countries along “the Belt and Road”, creating more than ten billion of economic benefits annually.
